Welcome to Bangkok After Dark, a time-limited newsletter (one year max) with weekly updates about a new book in progress. The research for this book has been rich in primary sources and ethnographic materials — images, news clippings, extraordinary interviews with people who lived through the war, and above all stories. The purpose of the newsletter is to share some of these, with reflections.

Benjamin Tausig is associate professor of music at SUNY-Stony Brook. He studies sound, music, and politics in Southeast Asia.
